Innovative Biotechnology Solutions at Zeme
The Legon Pharmaceutical and Innovation Park (LePIP) is a flagship initiative of the Government of Ghana, a Special Economic Zone designed to make Ghana a leading biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical manufacturing hub in West Africa.
LePIP integrates research, development, manufacturing, and commercialization within a single innovation cluster. The park is engineered to host a dense ecosystem of biotech companies systematically transforming raw academic research into market-ready commercial products.
Its strategic objective: Take pharmaceutical production on the continent from less than 1% to 60% in line with the Africa CDC PAVM target and the WHO Afro continental manufacturing agenda.
An industrial park strength lies in its innovation nursery. Zeme is the layer that creates startups from ideas, prototypes and patents. We provide the biomanufacturing lines, the lab services, the AI platform, the hub-operations team, and seed capital. When a tenant graduates the studio, it moves into build-to-suit GMP suites at LePIP.
