What We Do

Bio innovation, Investments and International Strategies

Zeme builds, funds, and scales biotechnology and life sciences ventures that address Ghana’s most pressing health, agriculture, and bioeconomy challenges. We provide early-stage capital, hands-on venture building, and shared research and laboratory infrastructure to help innovators move from discovery to commercialization. Through strategic management, partnerships, and impact-driven investment, we enable sustainable, science-based companies to grow and deliver measurable economic and social value.

Patient Capital & Investment

Zeme invests patient, impact-oriented capital in early- and growth-stage biotechnology and life sciences ventures in Ghana and across Africa. We structure flexible investment instruments and pair capital with active management and technical support to reduce risk, accelerate growth, and improve investability. Our investment approach prioritizes scalable solutions, strong governance, and measurable social and economic impact alongside financial returns. We invest in key industries including healthcare, education, agriculture, technology, data science and AI, manufacturing, imports, exports and investor relationships.

Bioinnovation Hub

Zeme Life Sciences Hub provides shared laboratory infrastructure, co-working space, and technical support for startups, researchers, and innovators. The hub lowers barriers to entry for biotech entrepreneurship by offering access to core facilities, mentorship, and industry partnerships, enabling teams to rapidly prototype, validate, and scale bio-based solutions aligned with regional and global needs. Zeme focuses on high-impact sectors at the intersection of science and development, including biotechnology and life sciences, clinical trials and global health, agricultural biotechnology and food systems, drug discovery and natural products, diagnostics and medical devices, and bio-based innovation platforms.
